WHAT WE HANDLE & MACHINE
We are experienced in grinding, machining and stamping various types of materials. We work with the most often used materials of high speed steel, particle steel and carbide. Carbi-Tech is also able to supply ceramic components and various other exotic materials per customer request.
High Speed Steel: A-2, M-2 and D-2 are regularly used in the grinding/machining of punches, die sections and other special-to –print components. We have in-house heat-treating capabilities, to maintain tight quality controls over our processes and procedures applicable to these materials.
Particle Steel: Depending on application or customer specification, we are able to supply components made from CPM-10V and other particle steel grades. Die components and wear parts where carbide may not be applicable, are often specified with particle steel. The combination of wear and shock in certain applications necessitates the utilization of this material.
Carbide: Tight tolerances, abrasive materials and long production runs are the premium applications for carbide components. Multiple grades allowing for variances in shock and wear add productivity and reduce overall costs. Carbi-Tech’s extensive experience with carbide will aid in the selection of the best grade for each application.
Ceramics/Exotics: Whether for metal stamping or special application needs, we have the capability and experience to fill customer requirements for materials such as ceramic, aluminum or tungsten to name just a few.
Production Stamping Materials: Drawing upon our experience with the design and build of metal stamping dies of carbide, high speed steel and particle steel, we are well positioned to supply production stampings of various material types.
